“...a masterful guitarist” --Stephen Stills
“Barry Flanagan in this 21st Century represents just how far Hawaiian music has traveled and how compelling its appeal is.” --Honolulu Magazine
“Flanagan showed off such a combination of dexterity and soulfulness that he brought to mind some mid-Pacific amalgam of Mark Knopfler, Chet Atkins and Wes Montgomery... absolutely breathtaking.” --Orange County Register
For more than 20 years, singer-songwriter, Barry Flanagan, has served as a worldwide ambassador of Hawaii Ki Ho'alu music having burst into the local and international spotlight with the release "HAPA," the number one selling Hawaiian album of all time and recipient of no less than six Na Hoku Hanohano Awards. HAPA is the debut album of the duo group of the same name that Flanagan co-founded in 1983 and has remained a part of ever since. Flanagan produced, composed and arranged the album with contributions by Grammy Award winner, Kenny Loggins, and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Stephen Stills. Flanagan's star remains big and bright high in the sky with the receipt of additional awards since his original break out success and annual tours both far and near. We couldn't be more excited or honored to showcase his rich talent and the contemporary Hawaiian heritage that he has helped create.
