Activ8 electro jazz - 7/03

7/03 5pm - Discord & Rye (clubhouse stage) and Activ8 electro jazz (barefoot beach set):  Discord & Rye explore the history and future of original American music. With solid foundations in folk, bluegrass, blues and rock, Discord & Rye has taken roots music off of the porch and into Honolulu’s mainstream anchored by John Ridgeway's vocals, acoustic guitar and songwriting, Caroline Pond's riveting fiddle and Nick Danger's rollicking upright bass. It's honest, feel good music that'll turn your Independence Day Weekend into a foot-stompin', holler-filled hootenanny.

Rockin electro jazz reality. That’s Activ8 electro jazz’s professional biography in its entirety...fittingly leaving Activ8 electro jazz a giant canvas on which to paint. The product of mastermind and main drummer, Jerome James, Activ8 focuses on delivering an immersive experience to spectators via music and dance performances, visual stimulants and direct artist-audience interaction. Raised in one of Hawaii’s great drumming families, James takes Activ8’s music seriously but remains focused on the end goal - engaging and uplifting onlookers. This translates to every Activ8 show being unique, memorable affairs. Count on Activ8 electro jazz's special beach set at Hawaii Polo to be particularly so.
